1. Introduction:
1.1 This website is operated by and therefore the sole property of Trans-Pennine Publishing Ltd, PO Box 10, Appleby-in-Westmorland, Cumbria CA16 6FA under licence from Ian Allan Publishing, Hersham, Surrey KT12 4RG.
1.2 If you do not agree or comply with the terms of use you should leave this site immediately
1.3 Occasionally we may modify or change these Terms & Conditions. Modifications will be added to this page, therefore continued use of this site will confirm that you accept any of the changes herein.
2. By Using This Site You Recognise That:
2.1 Trans-Pennine Publishing and Ian Allan Publishing own all material on this site (except images from the menu and gallery, or images provided by our photographic contributors).
2.2 You may display the content of this site on a computer screen, print the pages therein and store these pages on disk in their electronic form , but ONLY for personal usage. Any commercial or unauthorised use would be deemed non-compliance with these terms.
2.3 Vintage Roadscene and Roadscene are trade marks and you may not use these without obtaining prior written permission. Other trade marks are property of their owners.
2.3 You may not attempt to gain access to our server other than by Web browser.
2.4 You will not alter or delete any of the content on this site (using any means whatsoever).
3. Content:
3.1 At Roadscene, we try to ensure that all information on this site is 100% accurate (complete and not in-part!). Some of our information is provided 'third-party' contributors and we cannot always check the accuracy of this. It is recommended to verify this before relying fully on the content.
3.2 From time to time, errors and time delays can occur, we do not accept any liability from innacuracys or omission in information or problems with availability.
4. Links:
4.1 Any (third party) web links must not use the Roadscene trademark without prior written permission, must not be a website of offensive, controversial or distasteful content and must not infringe the property (intellectual or otherwise) of any other person.
4.2 We reserve our right to remove or deny any link in breach of the above terms.
4.3 On roadscene.com you may be taken to another site by an automatic link. This will be either in furtherance of using this site to the full or becuase we think that the site will be of interest to you. These sites and their owners are independent of roadscene.com and we do not accept responsibility for any content held therein.
5. Copyright:
5.1 We respect the (intellectual) property of other people and we ask you to please do the same. At our discretion we can terminate subscriptions of those who infringe the copyrights of others.
5.2 If you feel that your property has been copied or your copyright has been infringed, please contact us immediately and we will work with you to resolve the situation as quickly as possible.
6. Competitions / Prizes:
6.1 When we run competitions and free prize draws, there may be additional terms (these will be provided).
6.2 These competitions are only open to those over the age of 18 (employees of Trans-Pennine Publishing or Ian Allan Publishing are not eligible for entry). No proof of purchase is required for entry, but by entering you are agreeing to abide by any applicable rules.
6.3 The prizes are non-transferable, no cash alternatives will be offered. This is non-negotionable.
6.4 The winner in a free-prize draw is chosen by Roadscene, we have no bias in our final decision. No negotiations will be entered into.
6.5 We will only accept one entry per person.
6.6 Winners will be notified as soon as possible
7. E-Commerce:
7.1 Roadscene.com uses Trans-Pennine Publishing Ltd. to give you the oppurtunity to purchase products from us. We will strive to dispatch your purchase as soon as possible.
7.2 Unless the purchasers pays for the guaranteed delivery service, we do not accept any responsibility whatsoever for purchases going missing in the post. However, we may, at our discretion, send a replacement free of charge.
8. Indemnity:
8.1 I hereby agree to indemnify Trans-Pennine Publishing and its subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, employees, advertisers, partners, agents and representatives, and to hold them harmless from any and all claims, demands and liabilities (including legal fees) that may arise from my submissions or provision of content, from my unauthorised use of material obtained through the Service, from my breach of these terms & conditions, or from any such acts arising through my use of this Service.
9. Disclaimer of Warranty and Limitation of Liability:
9.1 YOU, THE USER, UNDERSTAND AND AGREE THAT YOU ARE USING THIS SITE (ROADSCENE.COM) AND ANY OF ITS SERVICES AT YOUR OWN RISK. 10. Privacy Policy:
10.1 The information that you provide about yourself to Roadscene will only be used in accordance with our Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy does not apply to third party sites.
10.2 Roadscene may from time to time invite you to provide personal information in order to provide you with services (such as email newsletters and competitions) and to enable you to order goods. In order to deliver such services or goods, Roadscene will need to process and store your personal information and may need to transfer it to affiliates and service providers for processing inside the European Economic Area. By submitting your personal information, you consent to such processing and transfers in connection with such orders, offers or services and for any other purposes to which you consent at the time you provide the information. Roadscene will only use your personal information for purposes which you have agreed to and we will not sell or give your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes without your consent.
10.3 In order to protect your privacy, Roadscene is registered in accordance with and always strives to comply with the UK Data Protection Act 1998. We follow strict security procedures in the storage and disclosure of personal information so as to prevent unauthorised access by any third party companies. Roadscene also requires those parties to whom Roadscene transfers personal information to comply with the same.

10.5 Data Protection: Roadscene and our sponsors and promoters may use your details to let you know about other products and services which we think would be of interest to you. Occasionally, we may also pass your details to selected companies. This will only be done with your permission.
11. Choice of Law and Jurisdiction:
11.1 You agree that this Agreement, for all purposes, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law. You also agree, subject to the following clause, to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts as regards any claim or matter arising under this Agreement.
11.2 For the exclusive benefit of ourselves, Roadscene retain the right to bring proceedings as to the substance of the matter in the courts of the country of your residence.
12. Other:
12.1 Occasionally, roadscene.com may publish articles or features that some site visitors may find these offensive. We do not intend to offend but we do not accept responsibility if any offense is taken or caused.
12.2 Should any part of these terms be found to be invalid by any court (having competent jurisdiction), the invalidity of that provision will not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of these terms. The terms and conditions will remain in full force and effect.
